The Disease of Political Correctness

Do you know anyone who is P.C. positive? That's political-correctness-positive for the uninitiated. Chances are, you have. In fact, if you surf the internet, it is practically impossible not to have stumbled upon a P.C. infested political forum.

Political Correctness is a degenerative mental disease. It is generally contracted by excessive watching or reading ultra-left media, indoctrination with fiction masquerading as documentaries (also known as the Michael Moore syndrome) or by loitering around the company of carriers of the political-correctness virus themselves, often called "head-in-the-sand" liberals, or pseudo-intellectuals. It is usually easier to identify the carriers of this highly contagious virus in their advanced state of infection, when they are referred to as "self-hating, bleeding-heart, head-in-the-sand, card-carrying liberals".

The disease spreads quickly throughout one's brain and prevents the inflicted person from thinking clearly, if at all. To the Political Correctness-infected mind, for example, there are no differences between people, races, cultures and religions (for there shouldn't be any, ever).

If, for example, I dare say anything negative about say, Islam, there are sure to be several P.C. positive nitwits who'd rush to paint Christianity in the same amount of negative light, because, in their sick, small minds, absolutely every religion has to be reduced to the same, equally negative rubble.

If anyone dares comment on the evil deeds of some 3rd world dictator or middle-eastern terrorist, the P.C. degenerates are likely to counter with a direct comparison to... the president of the United States, effectively equating the two in the insanity of their own minds! And that's before someone of the same ilk launches an endless philosophical tirade about the definition of terrorism, effectively sidetracking and bogging down the discussion.

To the P.C. corrupted mind, historical time relevance and any sense of numerical or geographic proportion is completely lost. For example, I could comment on an act of barbarism by muslim militants somewhere on earth this past week, and would quickly be reminded of the "same" kind of violent behavior of Christians... 1,200 years ago!

Or, I could point out the grave danger of islamic fundamentalist terrorism by mentioning the 3,000 victims of 9/11, the 150 victims of the train bombing in Madrid, Spain, and the 200 victims of the Bali night club bombing in Indonesia, only to have some P.C. mutant rush in to claim Christian fundamentalists are just as deadly, offering the murders of 2 abortion clinic doctors in South Carolina as definitive proof.

All extremists are exactly the same, according to the P.C. clouded mind. One such P.C. numskull recently compared the worldwide reach and scope of Al-Qaeda terrorism to an obscure local Christian terror group limited to... half of Uganda, and he even kept a straight face while claiming so.

To further illustrate the P.C. victims' detachment from reality, one such pitiful schmuck claimed repeatedly on a political forum that the high-profile murders of prominent Dutchmen who dared criticize Islam, perpetrated by muslim fundamentalists, do not matter at all (!!!) because they were committed by... only a small number of extremists.
Naturally, he proceeded with the obligatory comparison to violent retaliatory acts of Christian extremists, and "proved" that those murders cancelled each other out and therefore didn't matter.

A sure sign that the disease has progressed to an advanced state, is the complete inability to articulate a thought, let alone construct a valid argument. The most frequent P.C. response in debates is to completely avoid discussing the issue but resort instead to unjustified labels, personal characterizations and useless one-lines, such as: "you are a xenophobe", "you are so full of intolerant hate" with no justification or any supportive argumentation, whatsoever. For example, I could
mention the well-documented historical fact of the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus and the subsequent military occupation and ethnic cleansing that ensued, with a swift one-liner response of: "you have fear of Turks". To the P.C. degenerated mind, that constitutes a valid argument.

As an alternative to labels, characterizations and one-liners, another symptom of the P.C. positive is denial. If you articulate your own thoughts, they'd demand "sources", or someone else's opinion for validation. If you do provide bibliography or links as sources, they'd rush to invalidate it with their usual, old, tired labels, by claiming those authors, too, are known "xenophobes", "racists", full of "intolerant hate", etc. In his obsessive attempt to discredit my sources, one such pathetic individual even accused a prominent U.S. politician and author of himself being a... terrorist!

If you have read thus far, you may pat yourself in the back. You see, one of the common behavioral symptoms of the P.C. halfwits is the inability to read more than a few sentences at a time, as evidenced by their own admission: "I did not read it cuz it was too much to read", or "Your post was too long" or "Stop posting long messages that no one bothers to read". This limited attention span problem is also known as the MTV Generation syndrome. To stand a better chance to communicate anything effectively to P.C. cretins you'd better make heavy use of graphics (preferably cartoons) and limit your use of text to as little as possible.

When in an advanced state, there is no telling of what the P.C. fried brain might do. They usually exhibit hostile, anti-social behavior, inexplicably launching baseless accusations at others and stubbornly standing by them. The mere mentioning of certain keywords such as "muslim" or "Islam", regardless of context, is enough to be labeled by the P.C. positive simpletons as a "racist", a "xenophobe", a "fascist" full of "intolerant hate", and the like. This disease knows no boundaries across a forum membership roster, as it can afflict moderators just as well as regular members.

I happened to have an encounter recently with such an unfortunate individual of the French-Canadian variety, a travesty of a moderator in an advanced state of political correctness, with his head hopelessly stuck so far up his (_)_) he was in dire need of a nose plug, oxygen tank and night-vision goggles. (Note: with the aforementioned equipment, one can only treat, not cure, some of the most serious symptoms of the P.C. disease and only temporarily save the afflicted individual from suffocation. As of this writing, there is no known cure for Political Correctness. We can only hope his/her political correctness-tainted genes do not get passed on to future generations, so reproduction is strongly discouraged.)

So, I challenged him to justify his preposterous and unfair accusations against me (you know, the usual, old, tired labels and one-liners: "you are a xenophobe", full of "intolerant hate", "you fear the Turks", etc. ) and what did he do in response? He... copied and pasted (!!!) selected paragraphs of my own writings! Even after my repeated requests, no explanation or justification was given, whatsoever.

In hindsight, one should not have expected any better from a French Canadian. Canada is a country that has seriously been deliberating (listen to this... ) allowing islamic sharia courts to operate legally within their borders! The subject in question even attempted to rationalize this unheard of capitulation of a western country to Islam! He then had the nerve to accuse *me* of lack of "enlightment". Go figure.

But then he is of French descent, on top of everything else. What more can we say about the infamous French with their "glorious" history of capitulation that has not been already said?
